We are currently recruitng for a Logistics Sales Representative to help with the prospecting, relationship building, and negotiation of the transportation services. This position is a newly created role within a growing Logistics Company. The person in this role will get access to some of the top technology in the industry, and will be on track for future career advancement into leadership or other parts of the company. 


  • Selling or Influencing Others - Convincing others to buy merchandise/goods or to otherwise change their minds or actions.
  • Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships - Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Drive sales to and achieve budgeted sales goals in territory
  • Maintains daily contact with customers/carriers to respond to their issues and problems to keep positive customer relationships.
  • Prepares reports on the competition and market conditions as to the supply and demand and present to management.
  • Responsible for ordering point of sale material.
  • Responsible for calling accounts and conducting sales presentations
  • Manages web-based order entry systems and creates sales orders for customers
  • Responsible for proper pricing on invoices.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in the development of customer's category management projects

  • Bachelor's Degree (Communications, Supply Chain, Sales, Business or Liberal Arts)
  • Strong interest in selling, logistics, business development or entrepreneurial interests
  • Able to take rejection and comfortable making prospective calls
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong networking skills and a track record of leadership and success through college or work
  • Highly organized and driven to succeed
